Raised loft Flooring

Most often forgotten is the vast space in your attic, we can transform this unused space into a usable practical storage area, with a combination of raised loft flooring, and one of our Fakro Timber Loft Ladders.

Holt Insulations supplies and fits very high quality raised loft flooring using OSB ‘tongue and groove’ loft boards, designed for the job.

We can also make up shelving especially if space is tight, normally where there is a truss roof construction.

There are 4 main reasons why the floor must be raised?

[1] to avoid pipes and wires
[2] to allow for more insulation to be fitted under the floor
[3] Adding strength to the existing ceiling joist. Ventilation is as important as the insulation itself; if not ventilated your belongings will become damp and mouldy.
[4] Flooring can be taken up easily in the event of the need to access pipes and wires.

• Supply and fit Optistep timber folding loft ladder (max ceiling height 2.8 metres)
• Supply and fit 12 metres squared of raised loft flooring, raised by 6 inches
  (additional cost for insulation)
